Hart serves at WYFF News 4 Today as a weekday morning news co-anchor. He joined WYFF 4 in 1993 and he has not been appearing on the newscasts since late 2020. Geoff soon found a spot at Cardinal Gibbons High as a placekicker as a British soccer fanatic growing up, which ultimately won him a scholarship to Northeastern University in Boston, where he kicked for 4 years for the Huskies.
Geoff took a crack at the pros, also signing with the Patriots in 1986, before he went to school from Emerson College in Boston to pursue a Master’s Degree in Communications. Equipped with a resume tape, in 1989, he landed his first TV job in Wilmington, NC, and arrived in Greenville four years later.
Throughout his career, Geoff has won several industry honors, including the 2010 Southeast Regional Emmy for Best Sportscast and the 2010 Radio Television Digital News Association of Carolina’s Best Sportscaster.

On May 20, 2021, Hart made an announcement that he was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease which is a disease that causes problems with memory, thinking, and behavior. Hence, he said that he will not be coming back to WYFF 4. Since late December 2020, he has been on medical leave.
