Lewis serves at WYFF News 4 Today as the weekend morning weather anchor. From Seattle, Washington, she moved to Greenville, where she spent twelve years doing weather and working on a regional crime show. While there, she learned more about microclimates and how mountains, seas, and lowlands connect just a few miles from each other to change the forecast.

Before that, Parella spent time during the notorious “Race Day” tornado outbreak that disrupted the 88th running of the Indy 500 at the NBC affiliate in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she was on the air. As she offered wall-to-wall coverage during that historic incident, fifteen tornadoes touched down.

Parella started her career in Louisiana, where she spent much of her childhood in Lafayette. She expected everything there, from hurricanes to floods and a lot of extreme heat! Needless to say, as they walk through these activities together, she loves the weather and the various forms it takes and enjoys keeping viewers posted.

In her community, Parella has always enjoyed being involved. While in Seattle, she worked on the King County Search and Rescue advisory board, was co-chair of Teen Choice, an organization founded to give children in trouble a second chance while in Louisiana, and was awarded the prestigious Blue Knight Award in Little Rock by Mothers Against Drunk Driving. She’s just excited to get involved in her new culture.
