Marina Marraco is an American News Anchor/Reporter working for FOX 5 DC since joining the station in November of 2014. She currently anchors the evening newscasts on FOX5DC News at 5 p.m. and co-hosts the program, “FOX5LION” at 7, and 11 p.m.

Marraco serves at FOX 5 DC as an Evening News Anchor. Marraco began her career in television at The University of Florida, where she graduated with majors in Political Science and Telecommunications. During her third year at the university, she took a semester off to work as an intern, then as a news assistant at 24-hour local cable station NY1 in New York City. While at NY1, she went to cover the state senate coup in Albany, New York, and that’s where her passion for politics developed.
During her last semester at The University of Florida, a severe earthquake in Haiti occurred. She took his camera and together with a medical group, they traveled from Atlanta to Haiti. After graduating from the university, she went to work as a Spanish Anchor and Reporter at Univision Orlando. At Univision, she got chances to have an exclusive interview with Senator Marco Rubio, as well as former Florida Governor Charlie Crist, as they ran against each other in primaries. She also covered the case of Casey Anthony when she went on a murder trial of her 2-year-old daughter. Additionally, she reported on the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa, and the trial gavel to gavel for Univision Network.
From there, Marraco joined WESH-TV, an NBC-affiliated in Orlando, Florida. At the time of joining, the George Zimmerman trial was about to get underway in Sanford, so the moment she joined, she covered some parts of the trial. The story that Marraco covered and she will never forget is the story of a sinkhole in Seffner that swallowed a man as he was into a deep sleep.
