Garvin serves at KPRC as a news anchor and reporter. At the American Sniper Murder Trial, he reported on both shooting tragedies and won a regional Emmy as anchor of the 2013 Best Newscast. Keith was an anchor/reporter at KTVT in Dallas, Fort Worth, before joining KPRC 2.
He spent time as an ABC News correspondent, traveling as a White House Press Corps member, reporting from Iraq, and covering Hurricane Wilma. Keith also worked in Washington D.C. for WRC-TV, Raleigh, N.C. for WTVD, and Fresno, Calif. for KFSN. He has worked behind the camera as well. For six years, in Reno, Las Vegas, and Raleigh, he produced newscasts.
Being able to meet people and tell their stories is Keith’s favorite part of his job. He is most proud to tell the tales of military members of the United States directly from Iraq, Afghanistan, & Kuwait. He has interviewed and reported several times from Rwanda on former State Secretaries Colin Powell & Condoleezza Rice, Rev. Billy Graham, and Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, including the 15-year commemoration of the genocide in that nation.
