Cain worked as an on-air personality at ESPN before joining FNC, where he anchored his own weekday radio show entitled The Will Cain Show and acted as a regular panelist on the morning chat program of the network, First Take. In 2015, as a contributor, he joined the sports network where he hosted Fantasy Football Now an award-winning, four-hour fantasy football show and regularly covered Behind the Lines investigation pieces.
Earlier, before joining Starting Point with Soledad O’Brien in 2012, Cain was a political analyst for CNN, co-hosting In the Arena with Eliot Spitzer. He also anchored The Blaze, where he led a variety of programs, including Real News, Cain and Cupp, and The Cain Talk, in which he gave a series of in-depth interviews with prominent business leaders. In 2014, Cain also entered into the production sector and produced a mini-series named Alise vs. The Mayor, focusing on the efforts of New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio to limit charter schools.
Cain financed, purchased, and sold two media firms, Quince Media, a Hispanic media corporation, and Cain Communications, a regional newspaper network in Texas, before his television career. His involvement with Quince Media won him recognition in 2007 as one of Folio’s “40 Most Influential People in the Magazine Industry” while his purchase and growth of Cain Communications put him among the “20 Under 40.” members of the Texas Press Association. Cain is a licensed solicitor in Texas.
