Natasha Ramsahai Career

Natasha has worked in the Toronto media in a variety of capacities. Prior to joining Citynews, she worked at the CBC News Weather Centre as a Senior Meteorologist. From 2004 to 2005, she was instrumental in the creation and construction of the CBC National Weather Centre.

She covered national, international, and local Toronto news for CBC News after it started, as well as weather reports for travelers at several of Canada’s busiest airports. She was also the only Meteorologist on Andy Barrie’s Metro Morning on CBC Radio One. Natasha moved to Toronto1 as the Meteorologist for its morning show, Toronto Today, in between CBC radio and television.

Natasha grew up in the Scarborough area of Ontario. After graduating , Natasha worked in a variety of weather and broadcast-related jobs, including job-shadowing a Toronto TV weatherman here at CityTV when she was just 15, summer interning at The Weather Network, and a two-year stint as a University of Toronto campus radio host for a hip-hop/reggae show on 89.5 fm, all while pursuing her Masters (2001).

She rose through the ranks at the Weather Network, finally becoming a full-time Operational Meteorologist and Briefer, and then an On-air Meteorologist.

Natasha is a certified television weathercaster with the Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society. Easter Seals Ontario, Habitat For Humanity, and the Harmony Movement are among the organizations where she volunteers her time.

Natasha spends her time with friends and family, especially her two children when she is not gazing up at the sky. She enjoys biking, dancing, sipping coffee, planning beach vacations, and binge-watching Netflix. She currently works at CityNews Toronto alongside;
