Villeda serves at FOX 35 – WOFL in Orlando, Florida as a News Anchor/Reporter. Before joining FOX 35, he worked for NBC 4 New York as an anchor and reporter. He joined NBC4 in June 2015 and departed in June 2021. While at NBC4 New York, Villeda covered many high-profile stories for Tri-State audiences. Villeda traveled to Dallas in July 2016 and provided live updates on the ambush-style assaults that left five police officers dead. As part of NBC 4 New York’s team coverage of the Dallas attacks, Villeda was later given a New York Emmy ®.

In January 2017, to cover a deadly mass shooting at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Villeda traveled to South Florida. Several months later, to cover the record flood of Hurricane Harvey, Villeda flew to Houston. In September of that year, following Hurricane Maria’s landfall, Villeda was one of the only New York-based local TV reporters on the ground in Puerto Rico. Villeda stayed on the ground to chronicle the recovery for Tri-State audiences in the wake of the disaster.

In September, 2018, Villeda returned to Puerto Rico to mark Hurricane Maria’s one-year anniversary, taking Tri-State viewers on a wide-ranging recovery tour of the island. Villeda flew to Miami later that year to cover the court appearance of the alleged nationwide package bomber who had threatened Tri-State area media organizations and elected officials.

Villeda reported on KXAS, the NBC station in Dallas-Fort Worth, prior to joining NBC 4 New York. It was here that Villeda was honored for on-camera live coverage and general assignment stories with two Emmys ®. Villeda’s assignments took him around the nation at KXAS, covering big stories such as Hurricane Sandy, the Dallas to Atlanta Ebola epidemic, and the border crisis. Villeda was able to secure firsthand accounts from families who had made the journey across the Texas-Mexico frontier, fluent in Spanish.

From Hartford, Connecticut, where he worked for CBS affiliate WFSB-TV, Villeda came to Dallas. While at WFSB-TV, Villeda was remembered for his coverage of a major power plant explosion by the Associated Press and the Society of Professional Journalists. After the deadly explosion, he was the first reporter on the scene, delivering live, informative updates during the response and recovery times.

When coming to his education, he is a proud alum of Ithaca College, and on Syracuse’s NBC3 (WSTM-TV) he made his TV news debut. Villeda lives in Manhattan, NY, and is a dedicated runner who can often be seen crossing Central Park or the West Side Highway on a pleasant day. He is planning to run the New York City Marathon eventually.
