Shae Rozzi Heart Attack / Health
On July 17, 2020, Rozzi posted a pic of her in hospital on her official Facebook page. Her caption was explaining her disappearance from the newscast shortly after 5:30 pm Thursday night in the middle of 90 minutes of news, as well as thanking everyone who supported her all throughout. First of all, she thanked her co-workers for adapting quickly to change.
She then explained that she had symptoms of a heart attack that began around 4 pm and was getting more intense at 5 pm. The symptoms were tightness across her chest, in her throat, her jaw, and down the back of her neck and her arms. She knew that these were heart attack symptoms since she learned about them through serving at the American Heart Association in Tulsa.
Rozzi then left the newscast after the symptoms were at the top worse and FOX23 Nathan Thompson called 911 for her and together with Frank Volpicella (News Director) waited with her for the ambulance. She had some first aid when the EMSA OKLAHOMA paramedics arrived, where they ran her some tests and gave her nitroglycerin and aspirin to open her blood vessels.
It was fortunate that the EKG and bloodwork did not show a heart attack. Rozzi actually did the right thing by not taking chances, especially with having a family history of heart disease. Rozzi credited her coworkers, supportive friends, viewers, and husband as well as her daughter for being with her all through.
