Butler was the 1st news reporter to cover the story of Lisa Nowak (Astronaut) who had been arrested in a Love Triangle in the year 2007.
She spent most of her time reporting on the Casey Anthony case in the year 2008 until Anthony’s trial in the year 2011. Soon after that, Butler covered the death of Trayvon Martin who was shot by George Zimmerman, which took her almost a year. The story ended after George Zimmerman was acquitted in the year 2013.
Having lived in central Florida, Butler has covered a number of hurricanes and numerous wildfires. For her work as a news reporter, she has earned some small awards but has yet to win an Emmy Award.
