Jim Cantore Career
Cantore serves at the Weather Channel as a CBM Meteorologist and Fellow AMS. His desire to explain the scientific cause and effect of the weather to audiences transcends meteorology and journalism. Shortly after graduation from college, entered The Weather Channel in 1986. Cantore anchors and predicts the weather of the country day-to-day and helps produce meteorology, forecasting, and historical storm documentaries.
He has written about activities like the Olympics, NASA launches, NFL competitions, PGA tournaments, and the Winter X Games during Cantore’s career. The Fall Foliage Forecast was also produced by him. Significant weather disasters such as Hurricanes Katrina, Sandy, Matthew, Irma, and Dorian have been covered by Cantore. In the middle of those winds, it’s the role that makes him hate to see his audiences come by the meteorologist-if Cantore is in town, it means it’s time for everyone else to go.

In February 2013, Jim was inducted into the Punxsutawney Weather Discovery Center Hall of Fame, and he was inducted into the Silver Circle of the Southeast Chapter of the National Broadcasting Academy of Arts & Sciences in 2013.
