Sara Shookman is an American Emmy-awarded journalist who previously served WKYC as a co-anchor of WKYC’s 7 p.m. newscast, Front Row, alongside Jim Donovan. Also, she co-anchored the 11 p.m. newscast, What’s Next, alongside Russ Mitchell. She joined the station in July 2012 as a general assignment reporter. Previously she served WVLT/WBXX in Knoxville as a morning live reporter and a substitute anchor.

Another thing that she has an interest in volunteering with the SeriousFun Children’s Network’s Flying Horse Farms in Mt. Gilead and with The Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland.

Northeast Ohio is her native home and she was raised in Akron. Her journalism career began at WOUB in Athens, Ohio. In addition to working at 3News, she also worked at WVLT in Knoxville, Tennessee where she served as a reporter and fill-in anchor. During her leisure time, she likes to go outside on the water.

She also enjoys gardening, cross-country skiing in the winter, cycling in the summer, and stand-up paddleboarding. Furthermore, when with her husband they enjoy traveling and trying out new restaurants in Cleveland. Her best skill is to give stories.
