Acquisto joined the team back in 2011 with the launch of CityNews Channel. She was also cast as Laura Kent on Kin (2018) as a reporter and V-wars (2019) as a News anchor in the film Dog Days of Summer (2016).

She was born in Toronto and reared in Woodbridge, and her family is Italian. Stella is an adrenaline junkie who is willing to take on any challenge, from skydiving to plunging into -20°C water. She’s also tackled more serious subjects by spending a night in the shoes of a homeless person.
Stella worked as a game-day weather specialist for Fox Soccer during her stint at City. She spent three years covering news and weather in Northern Ontario before coming to City. Stella’s time in the north helped her to apply her abilities in Haiti, where she covered a four-part series a year after the disaster. Stella used to be a flight attendant, which gave her the opportunity to travel all over the world.
