He also regularly appears on MSNBC platforms as a political reporter and across all NBC News platforms including “NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt,” “TODAY,” “Meet the Press,” and NBCNews.com. Furthermore, he also offered political analysis on CBS’s “Red and Blue” and on ABC’s “This Week.” Bennet also co-anchors PBS NewsHour alongside Amna Nawaz (anchor and host).
His journalism career began at ABC News in New York. Additionally, he also attended the Royal Naval College, Dartmouth where he joined the service. He became a qualified signal specialist father his promotion to Lieutenant. To several admirals, he became a Flag Lieutenant. In addition, he was first in Freetown, Sierra Leone during World War II. Additionally, he was promoted to Commander at the end of World War II.
Prior to serving as captain of HMS St Brides Bay in the Mediterranean he also worked in the Admiralty at Bath. At the beginning of 1953, he was promoted to Captain and spent two years as a naval attaché in Moscow. Furthermore, he also covered Helsinki and Warsaw where he alerted the Admiralty to the potential growth of the Soviet Navy.
He joined the household of the Lord Mayor of London soon after his return to Britain. Furthermore, he became the authority on civil protocol after he became the Secretary to the Lord Mayor of Westminster in 1960. In November 2017, was when he began covering the White House for NBC News thus traveling domestically and internationally alongside former President Donald Trump.
Later on, he resumed the role after covering the White House and Congress for NPR (in 2017). During that time, he hosted a three-hour news and public affairs program Geoff guest-hosted C-SPAN’s “Washington Journal.” Before then, he covered national politics for NY1 News in New York City and Capitol Hill. Additionally, he was an editor with NPR’s “Weekend Edition.” When coming to his education, he attended Morehouse College where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in English.
