When coming to her education, she graduated with the Michigan State University Bachelor’s Degree, where she received an art degree that as it turns out, is not super marketable. She went there on a track and cross-country scholarship, and all of her focus was put into that. She was super successful at that, but it also turns out that a long-term plan is not a good career in running.
Washburn caved in several years ago and admitted that her art degree wasn’t going to cut it anymore. She went back to school at Penn State’s World Campus online school to study meteorology. As one of her greatest choices ever, it has gone down in history. She learned that she was much smarter than she had ever given herself credit for and she found a field she enjoyed.
Along the way, her years of budget-friendly do-it-yourself ventures have spawned another version of her The Jill of All Trades where in a daily weekly segment she shares her peculiar amalgamation of D-I-Y experience with viewers.
