Lue started working at WVVA after completing her studies. It is a West Virginia-based station affiliated with NBC. During the week, she was a reporter at WVVA and during the weekends she anchored, produced, and reported her own newscast.
In 2008, she left WVVA and joined WEWS-TV, which is an ABC-affiliated TV station located in Cleveland. Similarly, for the “Cleveland Strangler” article, she was the lead reporter. For three years there she was a General Assignment Reporter, Breaking News Reporter, Traffic Reporter, and Morning Anchor.
Later, in the year 2011, she moved to Detroit to join WJBK and worked there for about 5 years. Her other experience includes her being a speaker at the “Girl Future Leaders” event at Cleveland High School in 2008. She joined the “Dancing With the Stars Cleveland” local American dance competition TV series in 2011. In the race, she won first place. Also, she is a member of the Black Journalists’ Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority & National Association.
